A dream that wants to burn itself into film thresholds
Book of Illumine: Mind-Escaped Myth will be released here bi-monthly with samples from the book's chapters. Each page of this book is detailed with collage-like elements created from drawings and photos I have taken. This is a body of work that opens itself up to reveal the organs and bones of the mechanisms that animate it.
Along with weekly accompanying writing, curation, and creative experimental processes with personal instruction.
Book of Illumine: Mind-Escaped Myth is a gnostic myth of light and creation in a valley on the precipice of descending into permanent darkness. An artist in exile living inside of a haunted camera obscura begins to write her myth informed by her towers of books. Religious sects of devout mania begin to unravel as superstition and paranoia consume them. Amidst coming twilight turbulences of the valley, the unmanifest begins to awaken a blind primordial god animal. This is a story of creation- art as invocation and vision as catalyst.
